On Online Marketing Strategies I am taking advantage of a small number of affiliate programs that represent products or services that I use and recommend. I don’t use Adsense on this site because my experience with sites similar to this one is that the people who visit this site won’t click the Adsense ads and it messes up my percentage with Google. I also won’t affiliate with products I don’t use or can’t recommend.

Currently on Online Marketing Strategies I am using and recommending:

Skype – Skype is a great program that is available for free and allows users to make free call and video calls to other Skype users. It offers all sorts of possibilities for networking. I think everyone should have Skype as one of their tools.

Article Marketer – I have written about the benefits of Article Marketer on this site already. Article Marketing is one of the best Online Marketing Strategies around for developing your blog.

Solostream WordPress Themes – Solostream offers a line of premium WordPress themes that are extremely easy to work with. They have designed a format that opens inside the WordPress dashboard that eliminated the need for knowing HTML to customize your site. I use a lot of Solostream themes in my network of sites.

PeelAwayAds – Peel Away Ads are an attention getter and they are not nearly as annoying as those pop up ads that some people put on their sites. When I go to a site that pops up an ad, I leave. Peel Away adds only show up when people roll over then with their mouse.

Aweber – Aweber is an email marketing program that also provides a lot of other services. It is a great service to use if you want to offer an e-book as an incentive for people to sign up for your RSS feed.

Yahoo Ads – For certain sites, using Yahoo to advertise with might be a cost effective approach to getting some traffic before your site connects with the search engines. I would only recommend this option if you have something to sell or offer that will convert enough people that it justifies spending money for traffic. You can set your advertising budget as low as one dollar a day if you want.

Affiliate programs are a great way to make a little extra money on your blog. Of course, you need traffic to begin to get enough people to your site who will not only click on the afiliates ads, but eventually purchase the service or product.  As one of your Online marketing Strategies you should consider starting relationships with Commission Junction, Shareasale, Click Bank, and E-Junkie.
